Grab a cocktail and stay a while. And by cocktail, I mean cup of coffee, tea, H-2-0, or something stronger--whatever your fancy. Let's get to know each other a bit!

About me, I'm a life coach, but not like a regular life coach, I'm a cool life coach. (And if you know the reference, then, duh, we are obviously new BFFs). And as your new coach / BFF, you now have someone in your corner not just to "listen" to all your things, but someone who can help you see through to the light on the other side and have a plan in mind.

Meet Your Coach

I'm Dianna!

Currently I'm probably at happy hour (calling it work!) with a pretty in pink cocktail in hand, day dreaming about how once-upon-a-time I wished this could be my life everyday.

BEFORE WE GET TOO FAR INTO THIS...

Hello there!

I remember a me at some of my lowest times, saying, "I can't wait to feel more like myself again."

When I started to do the work that my own coach gave me, I realized that there was no looking back, only moving forward. When I think back on what was going on in my life at that time, or the girl that I was, it inspires me to continue to move forward in the work we do here.

The world would be a different place if we were all focused on our own well being and healing, first.

When jet-setting, they give a safety speech that in an emergency, you apply your own oxygen mask before helping someone else apply theirs. What if we applied that advice to our lives, too?

We are busy individuals. Running companies, or departments, families, households. If you're anything like I was, I had multiple calendars to manage the multi-dimensions of my everyday work and personal life. I wasn't doing just 1 thing, I was doing 100 "1-things" at any given moment.

Eventually, the stress and burnout led to skin issues like bloating and acne and more even more severe health issues (like almost going blind due to a swollen optic nerve, according to an ophthalmologist specialist, was likely inflamed due to stress.) That led me on a path and down the rabbit whole to the world of detoxing my life and making some health(ier) choices.

It can be hard to add "one more thing" to your to-do-list. I am completely that girl that sits on the floor at Barnes & Noble in the self-help, health, or business section, just *WISHING* I was on the other side of whatever book I had in front of me. Like, why can't we just hold the book and download the info?! We live in the Amazon-Prime-Now-age. Everything seems to be on-demand, except our spiritual, self-development, next-level journey. The only way to the other side is through--one step forward, and three steps back (like that Olivia Rodrigo song).

Back again to the safety speech on the jetsetting.... Really, really, what if we took that 1 step forward to put on our own oxygen mask, but like in our life? To do whatever it is we need to do to take care of ourselves. To say NO when we always say yes to other people. To take care of our needs first: physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

I always think to myself: What kind of woman would I be, if I showed up as "her" everyday?

Her, as in the one that has taken the best care of herself first. As my whole self. Not the me that gets split un-evenly between all the pieces of the pie that somehow equal me. In my job or career, as a mom, a lover, a partner, a friend, daughter, niece, human being...

Her, as in the future me that somehow has it all together.

Self-Love is a trending topic nowadays, but its not all bubble baths and eating chocolate or ice cream for dinner. It's about the little rituals in life to support our best and highest selves. I know personally, because every time I get in that moody "I want a vacation from my life" mode, I use the practices in my tool box to find a way back to myself. Because let's be real... The only person who knows what's best for you, is you.

As a life coach, I may not always know the way, especially because the path that got me here, may not be the path that leads you to happ(ier). But, I am able to support you, be your cheerleader, and walk the path with you through to the other side. I've created a few ways we can work together so we can meet the version of you that is the best you.

"It's always one step forward, and three steps back..."

THE
FAVES

Picture this: It was the "usual" happy hour with friends. I believe it was margaritas in our glasses. The music is lively. The restaurant is packed. We each went around the table, and each of us shared our stories on the past week. One girl had some vices about her boyfriend, another one had some stresses at work, the gal next to me was moving somewhere she did not seem excited about, everyone had money complaints. It was in that moment, I realized: happy hour sure didn't feel happy.

true story: my coaching practice was inspired by happy hour

At this time in my life, I was traveling back and forth between LA and Sacramento (hmm... come to think of it, I guess, I still do that pretty often!). Anyways, back to the story. I would travel back and forth to attend these really cool women's circles, take kundalini yoga classes, drink green juices, or adaptogenic lattes. I would go see women authors and speakers that I discovered through reading their books or following their businesses. And I would meet with other like minded women, aspiring entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, just trying to get to that "next level" in their lives and just talk about life over coffee or lunch or really amazing dinners.

It was an exciting time! My very own type of renaissance.

They say, you have to fill up your cup of inspiration before you can inspire others. And I was getting so filled up, that I was overflowing.

Back to happy hour, I went home that night and wondered, what would it feel like to sit with a group, still talk about "all the things", but then help each other to create inspired action to really make changes in our lives...

A community of healthier, happier, inspired, and empowered people.

Soon after that, I decided to create a Meetup group and called it "Healthy Happy Hour". And, while we had a few in attendance, it was actually a fail.

Later, inspired by a book I was reading by Gabrielle Bernstein, called "May Cause Miracles: A 40-Day Guidebook of Subtle Shifts for Radical Change and Unlimited Happiness", which is a modern appetizer version of the spiritual text and practice A Course in Miracles, I decided to start a book club to hopefully gather some peeps for positive discussion around the lessons in the book. I changed the name to Happ(ier) Hour. And in my online invitation (aka love letter), I invited friends and strangers to meet at a local coffee shop patio (which also shared space with a local wine bar!), to take 1 hour out of their busy life, to meet, have a glass of something, and chat about happier things.

That idea magnetically grew into an online community of thousands!

I have some of the BEST memories of those women that showed up during that time.

Like when we took our "book club" to see Gabby Bernstein speak in-person in SF (a few times!) and a friend who owned a limo, gifted us the limo and his driver for a magical evening of sisterhood, inspiration, and of course, miracles!

Those regular Meetup sessions, eventually grew into our community The Sunshine Estate and helped me connect to my purpose in life coaching by offering 1:1 private coaching, online group courses and masterminds, and in-person workshops and retreats.

Change starts with one little seed of an idea. The idea that something, anything in your life could possibly be different than it is. That it could be better. That you could be happier. It takes time, love, care and eventually, that tiny seed takes root. With sunshine, water, and the right environment, it grows and blooms.

Whichever season you are in, think of what tiny seeds you are wanting to plant and nurture.

Think of our online spaces as a retreat space for you to check into, take what you need, connect, leave what's not for you. This is for you. This is for us.

ENTER

The Sunshine Estate is: a community of soul-searchers, freedom-fighters, warriors of the wreckage, magic-makers, shooting-stars and courageous risk-takers.

They have been stripped of their beauty, and wounded by words.

They have been put into a box, that is the dark and lonely...

They have lost their spark and are in search of the light.

They remember better times, and they want to bring themselves back to life.

To resuscitate their lust for living, bring hope back to their dreams, to sparkle with glitter and stars, not suffocate with sorrow and shame.

They want to rise above the embers of the bridges that have been burned and the promises that have been broken.

They want to dance and sign and swim in the ocean...without reservations.

They want to bring love and light into all that they do and they want to experience this flourish with their full mind, body, and soul... they want to be FREE.

They want to live again and they are READY! Ready to do the work, to get deep into the messy stuff and pull at the strings that will make it all fall to pieces...then pick them up and put them back together...stronger, more determined, and more connected than ever.

Connected to their inner strength, their purpose, their truth, their community, their TRIBE.

This is a community where you can rise up above the mess and muck, it can be done, and it will be....not alone, but together.

Style, and grace, Love and Compassion, Truth and Light, it is time to break out of the dark, and shine from within.

Take back what has been stripped away and put on those shoes. No more turning into a pumpkin at midnight, it is time to kick the evil step-sister's and wicked witches of the west back to their pages and create our won version of a fairytale ending.

This community started from the need of its founder to pull herself out of this very place that we speak of above. She has lived this life of sadness and has worked her way through to the sun. She has taken root to lay the foundation of her own happiness, sunshine, magic, and freedom.

our manifesto

the sunshine estate

At the heart of every real estate transaction is a life change. Having practiced in real estate for almost 2 decades, I've come to the understanding that right before a client has called me to sell their home or purchase a new home, they have first decided to make a major change in their life. Getting married, getting divorced, having a baby, adopting a furry baby, relocating, or planning for an empty nest or retirement.

Bridging the gap between their old life and their new life has been my specialty. Buying a home is most often the biggest purchase you make in your lifetime! Add to that a major life transition and B-A-M you have the makings of one of the most stressful times in your life.

CA Real Estate License #01492011
Est 2005

While having a real estate license helps me in navigating the ups and downs of coordinating the escrow management, being a life coach helps me navigate all of the emotions that come with letting go of what was and moving forward one baby step at a time to step into what is to come. I have had the honor of helping hundreds of individuals and families through this process. And in every instance, it was the desire of wanting "a better life" that gave us hope when the going-got-tough.

Hello
Past me,
meet future me

Housing market crashed, economy goes into the great recession, oh and a heartbreak leads me to a life pivot.

2009

Trying to "find myself" and worked many jobs plus attended many "life" retreats": real estate agent, single mom, event coordinator, hostess/caterer, social media marketing and event PR.

2011

Burnt out on real estate and life, I move to Napa Valley and take a job in hospitality and business development. I move for work, but really discover what "living your best life" means!

2013

I start a life coaching business and a in person meetup group called Happ(ier) Hour. We book club'd, picnic'd, hiked, hosted retreats, workshops and most importantly... life, changed.

2012

I moved back to Bay Area for a job back in real estate and new home building. Help people buy and sell houses, win a few awards, earn some pretty big paychecks. I was able to "angel invest" in my own business and additional education and trainings with my corporate paycheck.

2015

pivot!

how did we even
get here?

I get married! In a private ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. I wanted to have another baby, but experienced fertility issues and had to let that dream go...

2016

I start a new job with a luxury home builder. I also graduate and earn my certificate in Holistic Health Coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I buy my "dream" car. The one that was on every vision board.

2018

We, the world, experience a global pandemic and somehow the real estate market becomes busier than ever. Also, I buy a house!

2020

We try to find a "new" normal in the world and while some people find work-life balance or a renewed lifestyle, my work life plus my personal life become blurred lines and I realize it was time to make some big changes.

2021

I quit my corporate job, start my own independent real estate practice, and re-launch my lifestyle, wellness, and beauty coaching business full-time! A career helping people in their pursuit for happiness, yes, please!!!

A few more things about me...

I grew up in a town just north of Sacramento, but spent my summers with family in the Bay Area or split between both sets of grandparents in Hawaii. We are lucky enough to still have a family home on Oahu, but I feel like I don't get back there to see my family enough.

I lived in the Napa Valley for a few years and it's been one of my favorite places to call home.

I moved back to the Bay Area to expand on my career in real estate and new home developments working with both local and national homebuilders and helping bring whole neighborhoods to life. I like the Bay, but I am a So Cal girl at heart. I love the sunshine and beach. You will find me down there, often, even if just for a day.

My man-child son will be 20 this year! In so many ways, I realize that we raised each other.

I'm a foodie and can plan my whole day/week/vacation around where I want to dine. Add good company and a few cocktails, even better!
